Cath Crowley est d'origine australienne. Auteur de nombreux romans de littérature adulte, elle écrit aussi pour les adolescents. Graffiti Moon, a remporté trois prix prestigieux de littérature ado: NSW Premier's Literary Award, Honour Book - Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Awards - Prime Minister's Literary Award.
